Like the title says, I'm a Mormon, or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although I will strive to be accurate in all my commentaries, you need to know that my opinions are not necessarily those of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. What's the Point?

They say that there are two things you should never talk about with friends and family. After dabbling with a political blog for a little over a year, I decided it was time to venture into the other half of the unspoken.

My religion is something very important to me. It has made a difference in my life, and I have seen it change other's lives as well. I know it's not the popular thing to talk about, but with a hit Broadway play and two Mormon presidential candidates, I see the Mormon religion being talked about a lot lately.

There seems to be a new article in a major publication everyday that mentions the LDS faith. Some authors are kind, and others not so much. Beyond the articles themselves, I see comment boards filled with misrepresentations, bigotry, and failed attempts of clarification.

Although those that write and comment on those national articles will probably never make it to this blog, this is my humble attempt to discuss Mormonism in the 21st century. I hope all those that read my posts will go away with understanding and all those that comment will do so respectfully.
